Monuments, Memorials and Foundations
The Cemetery Association will take as good care as possible of all monuments and markers, and will not be held responsible for any damage which may occur no matter how it occurred.
The Caretaker will locate lots for purposes of constructing foundations for monuments and markers.
The underground foundation for all monuments must be built of reinforced concrete with a 5 inch wash at ground level.
No more than one monument will be permitted on a one-owner lot or on a quarter lot.
No monument shall be permitted on less than a quarter lot.
Members owning at least a quarter lot have the option of having a monument with no grave markers or grave makers with no monument. (In this case all grave spaces must be on either the east or the west side of the lot.)
Members owning either the north or south half of a lot, or a whole lot, may have both a monument and grave markers.
Lettering is permitted on either side.
Monument Companies may put their name on their monuments if they wish
Only one marker will be permitted on any one grave space.
Markers and wedges for graves on the west half of any lot shall be placed at the head of the grave; and markers for graves on the east half of any lot shall be placed at the foot of the grave.
Markers or wedges will not be allowed on center lines of lots.
Double markers embracing not more than two grave spaces are allowable.
Construction or removal of all monuments, markers, wedges, etc., must be done under the supervision of the Caretaker to insure proper location and construction.
The Cemetery Association reserves the right to prohibit the erection of monumental work of any kind which it considers inartistic, improper or unsuitable in design, inscription or workmanship.
Monuments or grave markers cut in the form of animals or any grotesque figures will not be permitted.
Monuments or grave markers must be made of granite, marble or real bronze.
The following Rules and Regulations pertain to the setting of markers in Sections G, H, and the south portion of Section A, which are restricted to flat markers (no upright markers).
Single markers must be 12 inches wide and 24 inches long.
Double markers must be 12 inches wide and 48 inches long.
The front edge of the marker must be at least 3 1/2 inches above the concrete wash.
The rear edge of the marker must be at least 5 inches above the concrete wash.
The wash must extend 5 inches from the marker on all sides to provide a proper drainage ledge or border .
The wash must be installed with reinforcing rod or mesh to provide adequate strength for prevention of cracking.
Either 1 or 2 single markers or 1 double marker may be placed on each quarter lot (2 grave spaces).
Markers for all lots on the west half of Sections G, H, and the south portion of Section A must be set on the west side, at the head of the grave facing west.
Markers for all lots on the east half of Sections G, H, and the south portion of Section A must be set on the west side, at the head of the grave facing east.
Marble military markers will not be allowed. Only bronze plaques placed on a monument may be used.
